The LG G Flex is one of the first smartphones that is being released that will feature not only a curved design, but also flexible parts that will help the device stay durable. The LG G Flex, along with the similar Samsung Galaxy Round, represents a new breed of phones, and the G Flex appears to be coming to international markets very soon, according to a report from the LG Newswire.

This report (originally in Korean) indicates that the G Flex will be available in South Korea starting on Nov. 12. The phone will make its debut in LG's home country, and will cost 999,900 Korean Won, which is about $940.

Then it appears as though the phone will travel overseas to Europe, with service provider Orange France singled out as having the LG G Flex available. However, no specific release date was mentioned for a European release date for the smartphone, though it appears LG is committed to a December release window for their newest phone. No price was listed for the release of the G Flex in that region.

Based on this release, it is unclear when and for how much those in the United States can expect to pay for the G Flex. Oftentimes smartphone manufacturers will release their devices in several different markets before releasing their phones to the United States. This is to both gauge interest in the new product as well as giving time for US service providers to put their own programming and branding on the devices.

The LG G Flex is defined by the phone's curve, which arches the phone from top to bottom in hopes of better framing a person's face. This will give the device a banana like shape, though videos of the phone show that it can be flattened out and flexed to a degree. The phone's display is also curved and comes in a six inch model and will have a resolution of 720p.

As for other specs for the LG G Flex, potential owners should be ready for the device to have a Snapdragon 800 chipset with 2GB of RAM, a 13- megapixel camera attached to the rear of the device, and a curved battery. The G Flex will also have some sort of self-healing case that will fix any minor scratches that build up on the phone. However, this feature has not yet been seen in action.
