"Hairspray" star Amanda Bynes just got out of an involuntary facility last year, where she received treatment for nearly six months, yet the 28-year-old actress might not stop stirring legal news just yet.

According to CNN, Bynes was arrested on Sunday morning under a DUI (Driving Under the Influence) charge in Sherman Oaks, California. The outlet reported the confirmation coming from Officer Juan Galvan with the California Highway Patrol. She was spotted to drive her white Mercedes Benz SUV west on Riverside Drive.

A CHP spokesperson told E! News, "Amanda was displaying symptoms that led us to believe she may have been under the influence of a stimulant... It possibly could be a combination of a stimulant and other drugs. We do not know."

Bynes was reported to fail a series of field sobriety tests. Eventually, she was transported to the West Valley CHP office for further evaluation. She was noted to have a "disheveled appearance," yet cooperative in the arresting procedures.

This is not Bynes' first DUI charge. In April 2012, she was arrested under the same case after allegedly side-swiping a police cruiser in West Hollywood.

Bynes' controversial psychiatric hold began on July 2013 and ended almost six months later. Her involuntary admission was cited by E! Online as a result from allegedly starting fire on a household driveway in Thousand Oaks, California.

Meanwhile, Perez Hilton reported Bynes' "most bizarre yet entertaining" tweets. Currently, her official Twitter account stores 51 tweets. Her last publicly available tweet was posted on May 16, which includes a picture with her sister.

Bynes is currently a free person after paying a $15,000 bail. But because of her 2012 DUI charge, officers are predicting that she might spend some time behind the bars if she is convicted the second time around.
