Former Dallas Mavericks JJ Barea is not closing his doors on Dallas Mavericks, says a report by International Business Times.

Barea, who is currently playing for Minnesota Timberwolves, is in fact, open to the possibility of returning to Dallas Mavericks in the near future. In particular, Barea mentions his great relationship with the Dallas owner, Mark Cuban.

"It's a great relationship with Mark Cuban. If they want to bring me back to Dallas, I am very good with it. But I'm happy in Minnesota. They're the ones that wanted me there, the ones that signed me for four years, so until they decide to trade me, I'm going to give them all my effort in the games," he said in a report by Dallas News.

In a recent blog post by Cuban, Barea, along with others were collectively termed as Dallas Maverick's "fallen angels."

"JJ Barea, Delonte West, Yi Jianlian, Darren Collison, Ian Mahinmi, DeShawn Stevenson, O.J. Mayo, Anthony Morrow, Chris Douglas-Roberts, Rudy Fernandez, Tyson Chandler, Corey Brewer, and why not... Steve Novak. These are the "Fallen Angels", under 30, that the franchise has swung-on and either missed or been unable to resign since that 2010 season. I use this age designation because these are theoretical cornerstones that you can develop and retain to continue that winning culture you value highly. None currently play for the Dallas Mavericks," writes Cuban.

Barea still has two years to go with Minnesota Timberwolves and he has made it clear that he is committed to the contract deal.

The Timberwolves point guard is reportedly at the best of his career according to ESPN Go, citing his offensive numbers. He is caught up with leading Puerto Rico in the 2013 FIBA Americas Championship too, says International Business Times. Barea averaged 12.3 points, 4 rebounds and 3.2 assists in four games.
