Nicki Minaj is being sued by her former "wig guru."

Terrence Davidson filed suit in a district court in Atlanta on Friday stating that the former "American Idol" judge, real name Onika Maraj, stole his wig designs and discouraged him from pursuing a possible reality show deal, according to CNN.

Davidson started working for the rapper in January 2010 before she became a household name. He would make wigs for her, and Minaj would choose what she wanted to wear for appearances.

He created "Pink Upper Bung Wig," the "Fox Fur Wig" and the "Half Blonde-Half Pink Wig," according to the suit. Minaj and Davidson had also planned to launch a wig line together. But this was back in the days when she would appear as a guest rapper on mix tapes, and though she became known through her collaborations, her frequently changing hair color also made her stand out. Pink, blonde and rainbow-colored wigs became part of her public image.

By 2012, "Minaj and her agents became mum about the business," said the suit, which also says that he was actively isolated.

Minaj has been selling wigs on her website, which are based Davidson's designs, he said.

"I see these wigs online," he said to CNN. "People are basically duplicating what I created for Nicki Minaj."

Davidson's lawyer, Christopher Chestnut, added, "Nicki Minaj is reaping great success and financial bounty reward for Terrence's creative expertise, and he is entitled to participate in that. Someone's got to stand up for the artist. We applaud the fact that she's making millions, but she's also got to pay bounty to those whose creative designs she's making millions off of."

Chestnut goes on to describe the wigs as unique, which are unlike "your grandma's wigs."

Davidson has also made wigs for Patti LaBella and Remy Ma.
