Although it's been confirmed that "Bones" has been renewed for a 10th season, it also might be the last season for the forensics comedy-drama series.

Fortunately, executive producer Hart Hanson already knows how he wants to wrap up the long-running Fox TV drama. According to TV Guide, he's had a plan in mind since Season 4, though he admits, "I haven't told anyone."

In the build up to the series finale, the EP is conceptualizing a special episode where Brennan and Booth would reminisce and evaluate their work together. "It would take place in a spooky world where all the victims they got justice for show up, perhaps as ghosts," Hanson says. "And a few bad [guys], too."

Topping the list would be the show's first victim, missing Senate intern Cleo Eller, says Hanson. Lionel Little, the young coin collector from the first Christmas episode and Chelsea, the sick girl who died after her mother who had AIDS killed her in Season 2, would also pop up. "But, I don't know what we'd do about the [Season 8] Neanderthal," Hanson adds.

"Over the course of nine seasons, Bones has grown from a hit crime procedural into a beloved pillar of our lineup that resonates with fans in a way that only the best of shows can," said Fox entertainment chairman Kevin Reilly, according to Deadline.

"Our viewers have embraced Emily, David and the entire cast and characters of Bones as their very own, and I think they are going to love what Hart Hanson and Stephen Nathan have planned for Season 10!" he added.

Unfortunately, "Bones" fans will have to wait until next month to watch the rest of Season 9. Not much has been revealed about the next episode, which is entitled "The Source in the Sludge," airing March 10, reports Hollywood Hills.

However, executive producer Stephen Nathan assures fans that Booth's friend Aldo will make a return. If not this season, "we definitely want him to come back [in Season 10]," Nathan told TV Line, adding that Mather Zickel's priestly character is "a great asset to the show."
