It's here. Turtle Rock Studios has released a new trailer to the highly anticipated new multiplayer game Evolve, created by the team behing Left 4 Dead.

The trailer, which can seen below, offers the first glimpse of Evolve's gameplay and unique structure. Four players will team up as hunters chasing down the fifth solo player, who will take the form of a boss-like monster.

The trailer focuses on the Goliath, the first monster revealed to be part of the game. The four human players descend upon the map, but the preview is from the Goliath's perspective. The four hunters try to surround the Goliath using their beam weapons and their jetpacks for extra maneuverability. However, the monster seems to take the attack in stride, and then unleashes a fire attack that causes the team to scatter. The Goliath can jump around the map to ledges to avoid the enemies, and can hurl projectiles at the foes stuck on the ground with ease.

Different players are seen using different guns to try and hurt the Goliath, but nothing seems to faze the beast as it continues to jump at foes and rain fire and execute other attacks. However, the hunters also seem to be able to take a beating, and the Goliath begins to show damage as the fight drags on. The beast continues to jump at foes to try and cut them down, while hunters try to fly away to avoid the melee and short range attacks that seem to be the Goliath's specialty. The video ends rather abruptly, so it is unclear if the Goliath was able to overcome the four hunters or if the hunters used their numbers to kill the monster.

Evolve seems to be on track to be one of the games to watch in the future, but so far the game does not have a release date yet beyond a vague fall 2014 launch window. The game will be published by 2K Games; parent publisher Take-Two bought the rights to the game for $10.8 million from THQ after the company went bankrupt. Look out for more news on Evolve right here at Latino Post Tech as the game continues to be worked on and Turtle Rock Studios fine tunes the game's mechanics.
