Motorola's been amping up anticipation for its upcoming flagship phone, the Moto X, with an ad campaign, and if one tech guru is right, the phone could be unveiled as soon as July 11.

It seems that host of the popular technology radio show "The Tech Guy" Leo Laporte has received an invite to a Motorola event, presumably for the Moto X, taking place July 11. As of now, no other tech journalists are reporting in with invites, but apparently Laporte's invite was sent to him by Motorola's Guy Kawasaki himself with the explanation that only a few select tech journalists would be invited.

Motorola recently launched a new ad campaign for the Moto X, in which a man and woman are shown jumping in the shape of the letters "X" and "I," which could translate to the roman numerals "XI," meaning "11." With no official comment by Motorola, we'll simply have to wait and see how this pans out in six days to figure out what exactly the company has up its sleeve.

The ad campaign stressed two of Moto X's most unique features: the fact that it will be made in the United States and the fact that buyers will be able to customize the phone to a certain extent. The Moto X will be completely assembled at a plant in Texas, although many parts will come from outside the country. As far as customization goes, it will most likely be limited to aesthetics and simple softwares like wallpaper and ringtones.

The Moto X is expected to release in the fall with a 720p display, a 1.7GHz dual-core processor, a 10-megapixel rear-facing camera, and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.
