Two Nexus handsets are expected to be released by Google this year: the LG Nexus 5 (2015)and the Huawei phablet version.

However, leaked images of the Nexus 5 found its way on the internet first, and here's what we know about it so far:

1) The LG Nexus 5 (2015) is shown by Jermaine Smit to have three openings on its back: two circular ones for the dual camera, and a square-shaped one that is said to be a fingerprint reader.

Why the phone has two cameras on its rear still remains a question, however, as far as it known - and based on the leaked case designs, that is what it is expected to look like.

2) The new Nexus 5 (2015) Smarphone is also expected to have a 5.2-inch, 1920 x 1080 display with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor. It may also have 4GB RAM with its internal memory ranging from 32 GB, 64 GB, and 128 GB.

3) It is expected to be equipped a 16-megapixel dual camera with a 5 MP camera for selfies. It will be a fairly long-lasting gadget that with a 2,860mAH battery.

4) Techno Buffalo reported that there is also a USB-C connector on the phone, but it may not have a fingerprint reader for added security.

Android Pit pointed out, however that the two circular holes on the back of the phone have one with a raised cut-out, and the other with a flat case-edge. This could suggest that instead of a dual camera, the flat case-edge cut-out may be for a fingerprint reader.

While the LG Nexus 5 2015 looks pretty cool, Techno Buffalo said that we can't expect the device to look exactly the same as the renders leaked. LG's version looks similar to the original Nexus 5 with few, albeit noticeable improvements.

The most obvious change are the bezels which are now a bit thinner with curvier corners, but as far as the look is concerned, those are the most obvious changes observed, save for the existence of a second rear camera (or possibly a fingerprint reader according to Android Pit).

There is no word yet about the release date or price for the LG Nexus 5 2015, but Android Pit said that it is expected to be released by October.

With Google planning to release two Nexus gadgets, it is expected that the Huawei version will be more expensive than the LG phone.

Information is classified at the moment, and all we can do is wait for Google, LG, and Huawei to give specific details soon. Until then, all updates are rumors until confirmed.

What do you think of these rumored leaks for the LG Nexus 5 2015 so far?
