Speculations about the iPad Pro are surfacing for so long, perhaps the most prominent of them all is the rumored tablet's big size. Apple is yet to issue an official announcement regarding the iPad Pro, but Business Insider claimed that it has obtained a scoop concerning the tech giant's purported tablet.

Listed below are the latest reports and rumors about the iPad Pro.

Display and Design

As per Business Insider, Apple is said to be "testing prototype iPads with bigger screens since as far back as 2012." The tablet is expected to come in at a screen that measures 12.2 or 12.9 inches in size, which would make the device significantly larger than the corporation's 9.7-inch iPad Air 2.

It should be noted that a 12.9-inch screen size of the iPad Pro is about the same as the 13-inch MacBook, Business Insider noted.

Features & Specs

Citing Korean news publication Etnews, a separate report from Business Insider said that the iPad Pro will be equipped with the Force Touch technology, which is already being utilized in Apple's MacBook and iWatch.

According to Business Insider, Force Touch "adds different ways to bring up useful functions and interact with on-screen items." For example, users can adjust the fast forward options of a video clip in iMovie. Using Force Touch also allows users to attach an address in an email to bring up a location in Apple Maps.

The next iPad is also said to come in with silver nano wires for enhanced accuracy and pressure sensitivity, the news outlet added. Kuo of KGI Securities suggested that Apple will include a stylus accessory with the iPad Pro, DCInno wrote. In addition, the iPad Pro is expected to come in with a USB-C port, the latest universal standard for connectivity. The reversible port can be used in various formats.

Users can also expect the iPad Pro to have its office suite of apps going standard, and a potential and durable backplate material for heavy handling, DCInno added.

Other rumored features include an A9 chipset, split-screen, and Bluetooth stylus, UKMN reported. It is said to run using the iOS 9 and OS X El Capitan, suggesting that the device "will most likely be a hybrid one," the news outlet noted.

Release Date & Price

Business Insider speculated that the tablet will be unveiled in October of this year, just like the usual release dates Apple follows for its new iPad models. Expert Reviews estimated that the iPad Pro could cost more than $760.
