Now that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has officially made her debut onto one of the most popular social media networks, Twitter, people are questioning whether this is a sign that she will make another run for the presidency in 2016.

For her first tweet, the former first lady wrote, "Thanks for the inspiration @ASmith83 & @Sllambe - I'll take it from here ..." in reference to a pair of supporters who created the Twitter and Tumblr accounts, "Texts from Hillary."

On her Twitter page, Clinton describes herself as "wife, mom, lawyer, women & kids advocate, FLOAR, FLOTUS, US Senator, SecState, author, dog owner, hair icon, pantsuit aficionado, glass ceiling cracker, TBD..."

While Clinton has already raked in almost 200,000 followers during her first day on Twitter, the former Democratic presidential candidate has prompted many people to wonder if the reason she is increasing her social media presence is driven by her aspirations to be the president in 2016.

According to the LA Times, Clinton's Twitter debut comes on the heels of a Gallup poll that suggest her popularity is declining. According to the poll, conducted from June 1-4, 58 percent of Americans have a favorable opinion of the former secretary of State, a drop from 64 percent in the prior month, and the first time since 2008 that her favorability rating has gone below 60 percent.

Clinton follows husband Bill and daughter Chelsea into the Twittersphere, reports USA Today

President Clinton retweeted his wife's first effort, while Chelsea responded with "Welcome Mom!"

Bill Clinton later sent this message: "Does @Twitter have a family share plan? Great to be here with @HillaryClinton & @ChelseaClinton. Looking forward to #tweetsfromhillary."
