Despite her popularity and political skills, First Lady Michelle Obama has made it clear that she has no intention in being president. In a recent interview on ABC with the first couple, Barbara Walters asked whether the First Lady would have made a better president.

To that, Mrs. Obama responded, said, "I absolutely don't have the patience for the job," reports USA Today.

However, President Obama gave a diplomatic answer, saying, "Of course . . . That's an easy question!" But, he added that his wife is "smart enough" to avoid all the hassles associated with running to be the commander-in-chief.

The First Lady also told Walters that she tries to make the residential part of the White House a "sanctuary" for her husband and that their daughters, Malia and Sasha, also don't talk about issues of the day. "They're talking about issues of their day," Mrs. Obama said.

When asked where their family will live after President Obama's tenure, the couple said that Malia will be in college by then, while Sasha will be a high school sophomore at Sidwell Friends School.

"'Cause she's, you know, obviously they-and Michelle-have made a lot of sacrifices on behalf of my cockamamie ideas, the running for office and things," Obama said. "So we've gotta-you know we gotta make sure that she's doin' well . . . until she goes off to college," the president said. "Sasha will have a big say in where we are."

During the interview, Michelle Obama also revealed that she keeps her daughters away from social media networks like Facebook.

"I still am not a big believer in Facebook for young people. . . particularly for them, because they're in the public eye," Michelle Obama said. "Some of it's stuff they don't need to see and be a part of. ... So we try to protect them from too much of the public voice."
