A photo on Tinder which made rounds on social media and the web this week shows New England Patriots receiver Julian Edelman shirtless in bed with a girl taking a selfie in what seemed to be a moment after the two hooked up.

Sports World News commented: "Of course, everyone on the team has no doubt been living it up this week."

Online articles claimed that the viral photo was posted by a Tinder user named Sabrina Dudish who took the photo while the NFL player was sleeping beside her. It is still unclear how Edelman and Sabrina met.

Edelman using Tinder?

It was also noted that prior to the spread of the incriminating photo, Edelman already tweeted about using Tinder and this happened two years ago.

"So this tinder thing, awkward when groups of people are the pic, who do you know who's who? #smh #socialmediaproblems," he posted on his Twitter account on Jan. 24, 2013, as he noted that the mobile application causes confusion.

According to Sports World News, he immediately declared that he was not a fan of the social media dating app.

A TMZ report on the issue said that Sabrina or the woman responsible for the photo already admitted that her move was a "huge mistake" and that she feels "terrible" for what she has done. TMZ added that she has been "blackballed from Boston nightclubs."

International Business Times reported that indeed, a Boston club owner has already black listed Sabrina, and he announced this through a Facebook post.

"I made a mistake. I feel really bad about it. He passed out and I was bored I guess. I was drunk ... and I made a mistake and I feel terrible about it," she told TMZ in an exclusive interview.

Asked about her ban in Boston clubs, Sabrina said she doubts if it will be enforced. "I've definitely gotten my fair share of clubbing in Boston - and I have friends who work there who say I'm still welcome. I don't know if I'll go out anytime soon - but that's MY choice," Sabrina added.

She also shared that she has been receiving text messages from various people expressing disappointment on her act. "I obviously made a mistake and I can't take it back," she added, as quoted by TMZ.

Just last month, Complex reported that a similar incident happened to New York Giants' Odell Beckham Jr. A girl named "Stephanie" posted a controversial photo, also on Tinder.
