With his recent transfer from the WWE to the UFC, CM Punk recently discussed how he will fair inside the Octagon and what should be expected for his UFC 181 fight.

Sports World News, in a report, quoted CM Punk's interview with ESPN Sportscenter, where he said that he is ready to fight anyone at this point in his career.

"Am I ready today? Probably not, but I'd fight anybody right now whether that's a smart decision or not. I think you have to be a little bit nuts. I think I used to not be able to walk or swim and I'm not saying it's going to be easy, but I'm gonna get there and I'm excited to climb that mountain," CM Punk explained.

When asked about his preparations for the fight and his future plans in the coming months, Punk said that he will train more to hone his skills. "I'm already disciplined, I've been training and the only thing I need to do is more miles on the road so to speak," he added.

Known as Phil Brooks in real life, CM Punk also noted that there are still a lot of options for him as of the moment.

"There's wrestling, there's jiu-jitsu; there's kick boxing, Muay Thai, straight boxing [and] everything. And everybody's pretty well-rounded and that's how I feel I need to come into the game. I'm comfortable on the ground whether I get taken down on my back, I'm confident in my ability to stand back up. I'm confident in my jiu-jitsu and it's only gonna get better from now until the day I fight," CM Punk added.

Since his transfer to the UFC from the WWE made headlines, Punk was asked how he can compare WWE CEO Vince McMahon and UFC President Dana White where he said that the two are "both driven and set in their ways."

"They both have an idea of what's best for their company and everything like that and I think that's how they're the same. How they're different I think is the difference in the generation. Vince is very old school. Dana is more open-minded. There's more of a warmth on the UFC side that I'm experiencing and Dana's more open-minded obviously he hired me. And that's probably how different as I can describe right now," CM Punk reportedly told ESPN.

In a similar article, Bleacher Report discussed that CM Punk might be facing a big challenge in the UFC since he has no background in Mixed Martial Arts.

To this, Punk said that he is expecting the pressure to be monumental and that it will be nothing he has not experienced before.

"Being in front of that many people. There is something they call, 'Octagon Shock.' I think those jitters will be there, but they will be substantially less than somebody who's never performed in front of almost 90,000 people at one time. I'll be able to handle and manage the crowd better than most people making their UFC debut," he added.
