With the upcoming interim title bout between Fabrico Werdum and Mark Hunt, heavyweight fighter Alistair Overeem could not help but share his predictions for the match since he has already fought and beaten both in the past.

In an interview with Submission Radio, Overeem said that he thinks Werdum has an edge on the match but noted that Hunt is the "strongest guy" he has ever fought.

"You know, at the heavyweight division it can go either way. Hunt is an exceptional fighter, but Fabricio has been showing great skill in his last several fights. It can go either way. That being said, I give Fabricio a slight advantage, but Hunt, Hunt is no easy [fight]. I fought him back in 2008. He's the strongest guy I've ever fought. You know if you get hit [by Mark], you've got a problem. So it's going to be an exciting match up and I'm actually excited for that fight in a couple of weeks," he noted.

According to Bloody Elbow, Overeem has a 1-1 record against Werdum since he lost to the latter in 2006 then beat him five years later in Strikeforce. The report said that Overeem is giving him the advantage because he had "longer encounters" with Werdum in the past.

Hunt, on the other hand, fought with Overeem in 2008 where he was beaten by the latter in just 71 seconds via submission.

Meanwhile, MMA Torch predicted that Werdum's well rounded fighting strategy will give him the edge in most areas of the fight. "But if he gets caught, he gets caught," the report added, noting that there is a possibility he could take "the wrong shot at the wrong time" which could lead to his loss. This has also taken into consideration that Hunt has great power and that he can end the fight with a powerful blow.

Hunt said in an MMA Fighting article that he will hit Werdum on the head and make him lose his belt.

"Everyone's a world class ground fighter until they get a punch in the face," he added.

Hunt also claimed that he is already familiar with his opponent's gameplan and that is "to push the pacae and try to get me tired.

"It's the same thing. If he tries to stand and bang, well then good for me. I feel I have an advantage on all angles, it's nothing new to me," he added.

The two will fight at UFC 180 on Nov. 15 at Arena Mexico. The fight card also includes matchups between Joe Lauzon and Diego Sanchez, Dennis Bermudez and Ricardo Lamas, Marcys Brimage and Erik Perez, and Edgar Garcia and Hector Urbina among others.
