Posting an after-workout photo on Instagram did not seem to work out well for Cung Le who got suspended for nine months after he tested positive for human growth hormone (HGH).

The photo, which has already been deleted from his account, showed a jacked and ripped body of the UFC fighter which was already beyond normal. Yahoo Sports said that the picture solicited a lot of reactions from people who questioned how Le got those massive chops.

The doubters included his most recent opponent, Michael Bisping, who gave Le a hard beating during their match at UFC Fight Night 48 in Macau last August. Bisping, according to Yahoo Sports, asked UFC officials to conduct a blood and urine test on him which yielded positive HGH results.

Asked how he felt about the findings of the UFC, Bisping told MMA Fighting that he was thankful that he won the fight against Le who was already violating UFC rules at that time.

"If I lost, I would be outraged and would have more to say. I don't want to kick a man while he's down. He has to explain this to his kids. Hopefully, this will be a lesson for him and everyone: this is not a road one should take. In some ways, I feel bad for him and he has to pay the consequences," he added.

An MMA Junkie report said that because of this positive test, the UFC suspended Le for nine months and gave him a condition to pass a drug test if he decides to come back to the sport.

A statement of the UFC quoted by MMA Junkie revealed that Le's body system had excessive levels of HGH following his fight against Bisping in Macau.

"Due to his positive test result, Le was suspended by the UFC and notified that he violated the UFC Fighter Conduct Policy and Promotional Agreement with Zuffa, LLC. The UFC has a strict, consistent policy against the use of any illegal and/or performance-enhancing drugs, stimulants or masking agents by our athletes," the statement further read.

But months prior to his suspension, Le has already denied using drugs to enhance his physique, claiming that his ripped body is a product of intense training and healthy eating.

"That was my real picture. I just got off the scale from a hard-ass workout. I lost six-and-a-half pounds, and literally, I just came off the scale. It was just a moment like, 'Alright, I'm so light.' I gave it a flex, and someone caught it in perfect lighting. If I looked like that all the time, I would be happy. But I don't. It was just because that moment. Everyone, they can talk all they want, but do they look like that? No," he told MMA Junkie.
