One person was killed and four others were injured in a deadly San Bernardino shooting that occurred after 11 p.m. on Monday, July 7. The victims of the attack were said to be standing out front of N.D. Vape, at Base Line and Waterman Avenue.

"It appears that most of the shooting took place in front of the smoke shop, but several rounds were fired. I can't tell you exactly where they were," San Bernardino Police Department Lt. Rich Lawhead said.

Lt. Rich Lawhead also stated that the area is prone to incidents of violent behavior. "That is an area where we have a heavy gang presence and have had several calls for service for gang activity," he said.

A shooting had occurred in the same place the night before, where bullets were found in walls and vehicles said Lawhead. There were no injuries reported after the shooting. It is still unclear to authorities whether the shootings were related.

The survivors of the attack, three male and one female, were all taken to the hospital where they are now said to be in stable condition. Three of the victims were found inside the vape shop, while another survivor was found inside a nearby supermarket.

The one fatality in the shooting, Orlando Wayne Hunt Jr., was found outside of the vape shop lying on the ground. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead in less than an hour.

Investigators were still gathering evidence early Tuesday morning, which according to police Sgt. Frank Macomber, included at least 20 bullets.

At the time of the shooting there were three shop employees in the vape store. Officers say that the three employees were able to duck for cover to avoid the melee of bullets.

Officers are looking for two suspects who allegedly fled the scene after the shooting. Officers are also saying that some of the victims may have fired back at the suspects, although the investigation is still underway.
