Former Brooklyn Nets head coach Jason Kidd has now joined Milwaukee Bucks.

The Bucks fired its former head coach, Larry Drew, after one coaching season, writes SB Nation.

"Despite the challenging season, Larry always handled himself and represented the Bucks in a first-class manner. Larry did the best he could in a difficult situation, especially given all of our injuries. I want to thank Larry for all of his efforts, and we wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors," Bucks general manager John Hammond said in a statement sent to the media, including CBS Sports.

The Nets' general manager, Billy King, has allowed Kidd to coach the Bucks after the Bucks traded multiple second-round picks with the Nets. He rules with an iron fist and gets a lot out of his players, so he'd be very high on the list right now, and likely the leader," the league source said of Hollins in an interview with ESPN.

It was noted in another report by Yahoo Sports that Hollins will meet with Nets officials in the next 24-48 hours. A source also told Yahoo Sports that the Nets have already considered Hollins as replacement for Kidd since December 2013. The same report noted that Hollins will bring a strong playoff and defensive track as witnessed in his five-year coaching stint with the Memphis Grizzlies.

With his anticipated transfer to the Bucks, Kidd is expected to bring his two assistants, Eric Hughes and Sean Sweeney.

Kidd has played a strong season with the Nets especially during the second half of the regular season despite losing to the two-time defending champion Miami Heat in the playoffs.
