The new "Batman: Arkham Knight's" release has been delayed to 2015. To appease the anger and disappointment of fans, publisher Warner Bros. has opted to provide a sneak peek of the game with a brand new, action-packed trailer.

"Arkham Knight" is the new-generation title for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC gameplay. Unfortunately, the game won't make it to this year's holiday release and if there won't be any additional hiccups, the game will make it in time for the 2015 holidays.

Forbes writes of the delay, "the same goes for its compatriots The Order: 1886, meant to be one of the year's big Sony exclusives, and Ubisoft's The Division, meant to debut their next-gen Snowdrop engine. A few other big games have been hit with a 2015 delay, including The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Quantum Break, Dying Light and Mad Max."

This Arkham game is the third in Rocksteady's Arkham trilogy but it's assumed the developers need more time to complete the game for public use. It is the first to feature the Batmobile and is set to have Batman go head-to-head with the Scarecrow as he attempts to wreck havoc on the tormented city. The game will also feature a new villain, the titular Arkham Knight with very little detail provided on the character, explains Mashable

To provide some light on the game, Kotaku gives us a bit of info, recalling what Dax Ginn told reporters about the delay.

"The thing about awesome, though, is awesome takes time. And totally awesome takes a lot of time. So in collaboration with our colleagues at Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment and DC Comics, we have decided to extend the development time of Batman: Arkham Knight. Now, the very simple reason for doing this is to ensure we are delivering the awesome level of quality that Batman fans and gamers expect from this, the final episode and the epic conclusion to the Rocksteady Arkham trilogy. The Dark Knight will face his ultimate challenge in Batman: Arkham Knight now to be released in 2015."
