There is less than two weeks until "Divergent" hits theaters, but fans will be treated to a sneak peak of the film a before it's released nationwide.

The film's stars, Shailene Woodley and Theo James, are showing an exclusive clip from the film during the 2014 MTVu Woodie Awards, which take place Thursday at 8 p.m. during the SXSW festival in Austin, Texas.

The clip will also appear during the MTVu Woodie Awards Special, which airs Sunday at 8 p.m. on MTV, according to E! News.

The special will also feature appearances by Wiz Khalifa, Imagine Dragons, MGK, Danny Brown, Steve Aoki, Mac Miller, Hannibal Buress and the cast of Comedy Central's "Workaholics."

In other "Divergent" news, Entertainment Wise reports that Shailene Woodley, 22, turned down the role of Anastasia Steele in "50 Shades of Grey" to star in order to star in "Divergent."

Woodley also talked up her costar, Theo James, 29, to Entertainment Wise, saying he owned the role from the start.

"We auditioned a lot of guys, and a lot of these actors were playing male, masculine leaders," Woodley said. "Even if they were good, they were still acting it. Theo walked in and just demanded it with his presence.

"Theo is smart as a whip - he majored in philosophy and traveled the world before he even became an actor - so he's had a full life before the industry, and he didn't feel like he had to prove his masculinity," she continued.

She also commented on the chemistry the two share on screen.

"Theo is in it for the right reasons," she said. "He's not in it for the glamour, the toys, or the excess, and neither am I, so we respect each other on that level. And we're good teammates and have each other's backs, and I think a lot of our chemistry stems from that."

Woodley also said she landed the role of Beatrice 'Tris' Prior because of her unusual hobbies.

"Because this was right after Superstorm Sandy and I had multiple friends who said, 'I didn't have water for a few days because I wasn't prepared,' so after they saw me studying urban survival skills my friends said, 'That's cool... you should read this book 'Divergent,'" she said.

"Divergent" debuts in theaters March 21.
