Just weeks after 250,000 Americans signed a White House petition to deport Canadian signer Justin Bieber, the 19-year-old pop star did not take a deportation joke posted on a billboard in Chicago lightly.

The joke about Bieber, who currently lives in California, began last week in the build up to the Olympic hockey match between the U.S. and Canada. To make light of the highly anticipated game, a Chicago-area company erected an electronic sign along a major expressway with the words "Loser Keeps Bieber."

On the billboard, Bieber was plastered between Chicago Blackhawks stars Patrick Kane, who played for the U.S., and Jonathan Toews, whoe represented Canada at the Sochi Winter Games.

After America suffered from a devastating defeat to Canada 1-0 in a tough game, the company behind the sign, Command Sign, followed up with another Bieber joke, appealing for a "best 3 out of 5," reports USA Today.

Bieber apparently did not find the bet funny. On Friday, he posted a message on his Twitter account that read, "I guess I'm an easy target for some. I'm still human. I will continue to meet hate with love. It's all about the music. Much love."

Although it has not been confirmed that Bieber was specifically referring to the billboard, his tweet was shared over 140,000 times and many of his fans showed their support, reports Yahoo! News.

Even if Bieber didn't find the joke funny, Command Transportation owner Danny Zamost told The Associated Press the company was simply having "Good, clean fun."
