The on-again, off-again relationship between Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson has always been surrounded by juicy gossip. One of the most recurring tidbits is that the two were on the cusp of parenthood.

Less than a year ago, Contactmusic reported, "Kristen wanted to go straight back to where they'd been before they first split up and pushed Rob really hard on it. She wanted the whole package: the house, the wedding and even the baby. It was all way too much for Rob to handle."

Well, in the March 2014 issue of Marie Claire, the cover girl sets the record straight.

"I had it too good to not have that, too," she said. "If I were to put money on it, definitely, yeah. But you earn that, like, that's so not here yet. I mean, at this point, I can't tell you if I want to hang out on Saturday."

But maybe we've been focusing on the wrong love story this whole time.

In the issue, she also goes on to talk about her longtime collaborator, Nicolas Ghesquière.

The current Louis Vuitton creative director, who was formerly at Balenciaga, is Kristen Stewart's favorite. She first met him on a shoot for Interview magazine when she was 14.

"I was blown away – fashion became less superficial in my eyes, though it wasn't my thing."

She then worked with him years later when he called her up, and she eager to work with him because he stood out for her.

"Fashion has the best and worst people. The gems stick out. He was a designer I wanted to be around. He was so creative. If I have to walk red carpets, if I have to be in fashion, then I want to be with him."
