Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero was once dominated by Floyd Mayweather Jr., and he thinks the undefeated boxing champion will also end up scoring a lopsided victory against Amir Khan.

In an interview with BoxingScene, Guerrero, who absorbed a unanimous decision loss to the reigning pound-for-pound king in their WBC welterweight title showdown in May last year, insisted that Mayweather is too smart and too quick for Khan.

Guerrero also did not discount the possibility of a knockout, saying that the Brit has the speed to evade power punches, but insisted that the Bolton native has a glass jaw.

"Of course Floyd is going to win that fight. Everybody knows Amir Khan has a glass jaw, but he is quick. He might be game for a couple rounds but as soon as Floyd adapts to him, makes his adjustments, he (Floyd) is super quick and smart in the ring as well. He will dominate him, if not knock him out," Guerrero said.

Mayweather has yet to announce his opponent for his next fight, but Khan appears to be the front-runner for the flamboyant boxing superstar's next bout on May 3 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Aside from Khan, previous reports indicated that Mayweather, the reigning WBC and WBA light middleweight champion, is also considering Marcos Maidana, who is coming off an impressive win over Adrien Broner.

However, a Mayweather vs. Maidana fight appears to be a long shot at this point because the Argentine champion is expected to face Broner in a rematch after the previously-unbeaten Broner exercised his rematch option to avenge the first defeat of his boxing career.

Mayweather is expected to draw criticism if he decides to face the 27-year-old Khan, who failed to impress in his previous fight in April last year. Khan was floored in the fourth round of his showdown with Julio Diaz last year before escaping with a close unanimous decision victory.

Boxing trainer Jeff Mayweather, the uncle of the Grand Rapids native Floyd, pointed out that Khan is a good choice, but warned that the British fighter with Pakistani roots is not expected to draw PPV buys.

"Amir Khan is a good choice because he has a little following, so that helps the pay-per-view sales, but it's kind of tough to do that [fight] with a Pakistani on Cinco De Mayo. In order to do that [fight], you are going to have to put Latino fighters on there as well, or you are going to have to stack the card," Jeff Mayweather said.
