"El Chapo" cupcakes are all the rage in a bakery in Hermosillo, Sonora, Northern Mexico, as it showcases an image of drug kingpin Joaquín Guzmán in fondant icing.

A feature in Latina Magazine dubbed the infamous Mexican druglord to be "sweeter than his now-famous text messages to actress Kate del Castillo" after a bakery in the Central American country conjured an image of him on a dessert.

The cupcake was topped with a fondant-made shot of the drug kingpin, with the same dirty sleeveless shirt he was wearing when he was captured by authorities.

It became popular after a video of the dessert was posted by the Associated Press online.

It currently has nearly 4,000 views and varying comments that range from "So dope" to "He is delightfully delicious."

Check it out below.

According to Fox 11, the cupcake's creator pastry chef Alfredo Soria was quite "shocked" with people's reaction to the video featuring his creation.

After his arrest, several "El Chapo" merchandise surfaced and became popular both in physical stores as well as online.

Aside from the treat, T-shirts piñatas showcasing the drug kingpin have also been featured in several news outlets like the New York Post.

"The piñata features a dirty version of the ruthless kingpin, who runs the Sinaloa cartel, in handcuffs with a white tank top and blue pants," the report read.

According to Dalton Avalos Ramirez, the owner of a popular piñateria in Reynosa, the merchandise has a price tag of about $28 to $56 per piece.

He even joked that buyers of the piñata also have the option to "extradite the piñata to the United States," referring to the process the real "El Chapo" would be undergoing.

And because of her involvement in the drug lord, Mexican actress Kate del Castillo also earned a place as a piñata alongside "El Chapo."

Her piñata version is dressed like her character in Telemundo's popular Spanish-language telenovela "La Reina del Sur" or "The Queen of the South," which follows the story of a girl who becomes the leader of a cartel following the murder of her gangster boyfriend.

According to a CNN report, Guzmán was recaptured on January 8 several months after he escaped his captors in July 2015.

A more detailed report from the New York Times revealed that the world's most notorious drug lord had to drag himself out of the sewers only to find out that Mexican authorities are right on his heels.
