For Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Andre Berto's bout this coming Saturday, TV network Showtime is bent on going after websites which promise to air the boxing match love.

TMZ said the TV network is suing some websites which have announced that they will be offering lifestream of the fight which will happen at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

It added that Showtime has asked a judge to block these sites.

Revealing more details of the move, Torrent Freak dished that Showtime submitted the complaint to a Federal court in California to "stop a site which is promising to provide users with access to the upcoming event."

It added that the address of the website is "mayweathervsandrebertolivestream.com" which was discovered not to have a license for the live stream.

"The Defendants are seeking to benefit from this high profile live Fight by infringing the rights of Plaintiffs," indicated the complaint.

Showtime and Mayweather Promotions claim that pirates like this site will cause them "severe and irreparable harm." They have asked the court for damages and a restraining order, added Torrent Freak.

It also noted that this is not the first move of the TV network on unauthorized sites since it also worked hand in hand with HBO in preventing illegal websites to show the May fight of Manny Pacquiao and Mayweather live.

This is not the only concern that Showtime should be paying its attention to since New York Daily News said that thousands of tickets remain unsold a few days before the bout.

"The fight is so under the radar that one prominent boxing insider admitted he had forgotten it was even taking place on Saturday," added the same report.

Showtime boxing head Stephen Espinoza told New York Daily News that this upcoming fight might not hit a million PPV buys compared to Mayweather's sold-out bout with Pacman.

"I don't think so, to be honest," Espinoza added.

Many people have also expressed their dismay over Mayweather's choice of opponent for his last fight since Berto has lost his last three fights.

Berto said in the New York Daily News report that he is out to "put things together" after the disappointing fight between Pacquiao and Mayweather which left boxing fans asking for more.

"His fight with Manny left a bad taste in everyone's mouth. And it rolled right over here. I mean it was a fact that they predicted he would lose (to Pacquiao). And it crashed. And it just hurt a lot of people's feelings. It hurt a lot of people's pockets. And I'm next up. I already know what it is. I'm a very intelligent young man. I can put it together. The last situation wasn't great. Now, you guys are taking it out on this situation," Berto added.
