The Philippines may be a paradise to travelers, but for Chris Brown, that description may not be on his list.

The 26-year-old Grammy winner has been stuck in the Southeast Asian nation for two days now, after an influential sect filed a fraud complaint, saying that the singer owes over a million dollars in refund for skipping a concert last year.

In a desperate appeal to leave, Brown got down on his knees, begging US President Obama to help him leave the country.

In a video posted on his Instagram page, he pleaded, ""Please, please, let us leave, please."

He punctuated his cause with a backflip, and captioned it "OBAMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" although the bizarre clip has been taken down since.

In subsequent Twitter posts as noted by The Daily Mail, Brown said, "This is a very serious situation and someone needs to be held accountable for mixing my name up in all this. I've done nothing wrong!!!"

"I have nothing to do with anything going on right now. I came back to Manila to do a make-up show for New Years. I did the show three days ago."

The show he mentioned was at Manila's Mall of Asia Arena, where he performed for a packed crowd. However, the Christian Group, Iglesia Ni Cristo did not take this for making up for the concert he failed to show up for on December 31st last year, when he said he lost his passport and could not travel.

The concert he had signed on for with the Iglesia ni Cristo sect, according to CNN, was supposed to take place at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan, on the northern outskirts of Manila.

Yahoo! News reported that the justice department then barred the singer from leaving the country on Wednesday unless he can procure a government-issued document that certifies he has no legal obligations left.

The Bureau of Immigration said that Brown has not applied for the said document, and by Thursday, the justice department has assigned a prosecutor for his case.

Neither the church nor Brown were available for comment regarding the charges. However, Brown's extended stay in the nation has already resulted to the cancellation of some of his concerts.

He was expected to be in Hong Kong last Wednesday, and is scheduled to perform in Israel and Cyprus next week.

This is hardly the first time Brown got in trouble with the authorities --- he has been on a circus show with the media since 2009, when he famously assaulted his then-girlfriend, Rihanna.

He had an altercation with rapper Drake at a club in New York in 2012, and got another assault and battery charge when he shoved a woman at a club in California, and was accused of committing a hit-and-run in LA., among other charges.
