Apple's music streaming service is going to launch on Tuesday, but besides the fact that Taylor Swift decided to put her album up and partner with Apple Inc., there is little that we know of the service - until now, that is.

Apple Music is very similar to Spotify and other music-streaming services, as reported by the International Business Times, however it must be noted that it is only available via the iOS 8.4 update for the iPhone and iPad.

Here are the things that we do know about the Apple Music:

1) Apple Music will cost $9.99 per month, but before you have to shell out cash, there is a free 3-month trial, which gives consumers enough time to decide whether or not they will want to pay the subscripton fee later on.

2) Like other streaming services, Apple wants to give value for money with a family plan, and it seems to be better than Spotify's version. While Spotify's family plan costs $14.99 for two people, Apple Music gives most value as it charges the same amount for six users to access the expansive song catalog from Apple.

3) The Cupertino-based company is also going to launch a live radio station called Beats 1, which will broadcast 24 hours a day and, according to TIME Magazine, will be helmed by former BBC radio DJ Zane Lowe. It will feature shows by big stars, including Drake and Elton John, and will conduct interviews with celebrities like rapper Eminem.

4) Apple Music will also have "Connect," a feature that lets artists communicate directly with their fans, and even post behind-the-scenes content from their latest videos.

5) Unfortunately for Apple Music, it might work on a slower streaming bitrate. The Next Web noted that while services like Spotify, Google Play Music, Tidal, and Rdio all offer a maximum bitrate of 320 kbps, Apple music will work on a much lesser streaming speed of only 256kbps. Whether or not this can make a big difference in music streaming remains to be seen.

Bonus news: The Guardian reported that Apple Music will be available on all iOS devices, and on Android as well. But while Apple Music will launch for Apple products on Tuesday, Android users will have to wait a bit to experience the music-streaming business as it not be made available until later in the fall.

It's too early to know if this new venture will be a good thing for the company, but for now, do you think you're going to download the music app, or are you happy with your old music-streaming service?
