'The Tomorrow People' Season 1 Episode 9 Spoilers: Stephen Tracks Down His Father in 'Death's Door' [Video]

The midseason finale of The CW's "The Tomorrow People" promises to be intense as Stephen tracks down his lost father.

According to KSiteTV.com, an official synopsis of the episode, entitled "Death's Door," reads:

"When John (Luke Mitchell) finds himself in a dangerous situation, Stephen (Robbie Amell) is unable to help without revealing himself to Ultra. Not satisfied with the answer he has discovered about his father's disappearance, Stephen decides to take drastic measures with the help of his fellow Tomorrow People to find out the truth. Meanwhile, Cara (Peyton List) and Russell (Aaron Yoo) negotiate a trade with Jedikiah (Mark Pellegrino), which ultimately makes Jedikiah take a big risk. "

The science fiction thriller series is based on a generation of humans who possess paranormal abilities known as the Tomorrow People. After living his life as a normal kid, teenager Stephen Jameson finds himself at the crossroads between the world as we know it and this new evolutions of humans. It all started after Stephen began hearing voices and teleporting in his sleep, notes Broadworld.com.

Eventually, Stephen decides to listen to one of the voices in his head which leads him to his first encounter with the Tomorrow People, John, Cara and Russell, who were born with the abilities of telekinesis, teleportation and telepathic communication.

Not only is Stephen dealing with this new adjustment, but he comes to learn that The Tomorrow People are being hunted down by a paramilitary group of scientists known as Ultra led by Dr. Jedikiah Price, who sees the Tomorrow People as an existential threat.

"The Tomorrow People" airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. EST on The CW.
