"Lo Imperdonable" will feature a new approach on the classic "La Mentira."

Starring Ana Brenda Contreras, Iván Sánchez, and Sergio Sendel as Verónica, Martín, and Emiliano, respectively, "Lo Imperdonable" will showcase themes of true love, revenge, and forgiveness, Latin Times wrote.

Televisa's upcoming telenovela is based on Caridad Bravo Adams' "La Mentira," which starred Kate del Castillo and Guy Ecker and was adapted as "Cuando Me Enamoro" featuring Silvia Navarro and Juan Soler. Telemundo's "El Juramento" was also taken after the classic drama, Latin Times reported.

According to the news outlet, "Lo Imperdonable" will see Sánchez's Martín discovering the suicide of his brother, Demetrio, played by Pablo Montero. Martín gets deep in sorrow over the tragedy, vowing to exact revenge on the unidentified woman who seduced Demetrio and caused him to kill himself.

Things start getting more complicated when Martín finds and starts falling in love with Contreras' Veronica, who appears to be the woman responsible for Demetrio's suicide. Martín then asks Veronica to marry him, but her happiness was cut short when her husband changes drastically after the wedding. Torn between his love for Veronica and his desire to avenge Demetrio, Martín must learn the true meaning of forgiveness, Latin Times noted.

"Lo Imperdonable" will premiere on May 19 at 9 PM ET/PT in Televisa Network.

Ana Brenda Contreras to Sing Theme Song of 'Lo Imperdonable'

Aside from starring in the telenovela, Contreras is also set to provide her vocals for the theme song of "Lo Imperdonable."

Latin Times reported the news, saying that Contreras, who originally got her start in the music scene, will be singing the theme song that will play in the end credits of the Televisa drama.

The 28-year-old Mexican actress rose to fame after she was chosen as one of the finalists of the Mexican version of the talent show "Popstars," Latin Times wrote. Through the program, Contreras became a part of the group T' de Tila.

Last February, the actress started shooting "Lo Imperdonable" in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, according to Latin Post. Contreras also shared her fitness regimen in preparation for the TV drama, the news outlet noted. She revealed that she has been doing various workouts to make sure that she's in great shape.

"I'm super in love with boxing. It gets rid of all your stress," Contreras admits, as quoted by Latin Post. "I'm eating well. And because of the novela, I am taking fencing classes and horse riding."

The telenovela star reportedly suffered a minor injury in her arm while preparing for her role. In an interview with Hoy, which was translated by Latin Post, Contreras revealed that she fell while riding a horse. According to the news outlet, the actress' hand was not broken, but she still needs to give it a few weeks of rest.
