The LG G4 and Sony Xperia Z4 may be at the verge of their launch dates, suggested by the rampant appearance of recent leaks. As the new LG flagship allegedly showcased its leather furnish, the purported Xperia handset turned prying heads as well -- though we're not certain if it did for the better.

According to TechRadar, a new leaked photo from the Sony Georgia Facebook page claims to be the real press image. Apparently, the render looked so similar to its predecessor that the outlet felt it's "uninspired."

"This image could be of almost any previous Xperia device and you wouldn't really notice," TechRadar wrote. See the alleged Xperia Z4 for yourself here.

In addition to the seemingly-recycled design language, the leak also sported what's thought to be Android 4.4 KitKat. Of course, this matters now, as the latest Android flagships arrived with Lollipop under their hoods.

But then again, while Sony's confirmation isn't around, the leak is best taken with generous amounts of salt. As noted by TechRadar, Sony responded, "We do not comment on rumor or speculation."

Indeed, if the leak is insignificant, prospects may have a reason to keep their hopes up.

Interestingly, Sony may not only be unveiling the Xperia Z4, as another Xperia device looks to make an impression soon.

This is believed to be the Xperia C4, the Deccan Chronicle cited. An image of the alleged device has been leaked by tipster @upleaks, the outlet said.

Expected to replace the Xperia C3, the device reportedly packs a 5.5-inch display, Android 5.0 Lollipop and a front snapper supported by LED flash. If the latter holds truth, the smartphone looks to be in position as a selfie-optimized handset.

Meanwhile, the rest of the Xperia Z4's purported specs include a 5.1-inch 1080p display, a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of native storage, 20.7 MP main camera and a 5 MP front snapper, Android Origin listed.

The Xperia Z4 is expected to launch at the Berlin-based IFA, held on Sept. 4 to Sept. 9, the Ecumenical News noted. Citing leaked benchmark test results, the outlet also took note of purported features such as water- and dust-proofing, a 3,420 mAh battery and connectivity options including Bluetooth, NFC, GPS and Wi-Fi.

In addition, the outlet specifically cited the Xperia Z4 as running Android 5.0.2 Lollipop.

What do you think of the Sony's new flagship? Is everybody up for a pleasant surprise? Are you looking forward to see the Xperia C4, too?
