Android's latest operating system, the Android 5.0 Lollipop, continues its journey to targeted devices. This time, OTA updates are in for much of Samsung's Galaxy devices, including the Galaxy S4, Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Note 2.

Lollipop has arrived for Galaxy S4 models in Russia, India, Slovakia, Germany and Czech Republic, the Christian Post reported. According to the outlet, the upgrade takes about 1 GB of space. At least 3 GB must be spared for installation.

The update will work in all international versions of the device, just like the Galaxy S3. Most European countries are said to be enjoying Lollipop already, while U.S. users are still on the lookout for the update.

As told by the Christian Times, the Galaxy S5 is the first Samsung device to get Lollipop, followed by the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy S4. At present, the outlet reported that version 5.0.1 is being pushed to Galaxy Note 4 devices in Poland.

The Galaxy Note 3 has also received the latest OS, Android Geeks noted. In particular, it's the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 LTE N9005 model, powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 800.

The outlet recommended downloading over Wi-Fi to avoid unwanted data charges. Users are expected to allot more than 600 MB of space for the update.

Samsung Poland has also confirmed the Lollipop update for the Galaxy Note 2, NDTV said. The announcement is explicitly stated as a response to another Twitter user (via Google Translate), "Yes, our spokesman confirmed today during #GZR that the Galaxy Note 2 will receive the update. But we have no further information."

Note that the Lollipop upgrade is being rolled out in phases, which means not everyone is bound to receive it all at the same time.

OTA or Over-The-Air updates come automatically as on-screen notifications. Users only need to follow instruction prompts to get started. On the other hand, manual checking may also be done, simply by going to the device's Settings > About Phone > Software Updates > Check for Updates (may vary among different units).

Alternatively, if waiting is not an option, users can opt to install custom ROMs created by ever-industrious third-party developers. However, these often require very technical procedures, so backing-up of files (and caution) is always encouraged.

The Android 5.0 Lollipop is loved for many reasons, and one of them is its eye-friendly Material Design interface. Other features include content focus, lock-screen notifications, improved security systems, redesigned notifications bar and upgraded battery stats, among others.
