Bruce Jenner was involved in a fatal four-vehicle crash that killed a Calabasas resident along the Pacific Coast Highway last Saturday.

The woman, identified by Sunday morning as 69-year-old Kim Howe, was killed in the accident when her car got pushed into the oncoming traffic in a chain reaction crash involving four vehicles, one of which is former Olympian and reality TV star, Bruce Jenner's.

According to CBS, Jenner's car, a Cadillac Escalade, rear-ended Howe's Lexus. Howe just struck another car in front of hers when it stopped, for reasons unknown, a few hundred feet short of the traffic signal at the Corral Canyon Road. The impact pushed the Lexus into the oncoming traffic, and was struck by a Hummer H2 head-on.

In the investigation regarding the crash, Yahoo! noted that cellphone records may likely be collected for all the drivers involved in the accident, Jenner's included. This is so that investigators can check the drivers' text and call data, records of which can help inform the prosecutors of the cause of the accident and whether or not they will be considered against the drivers who were involved.

However, it will not be the deciding factor in the case. Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Sgt. Philip Brooks noted that it would be difficult to pinpoint the exact time of the collision. He explained, "The problem is pinpointing the time of the accident. If the accident occurred at 12:05 and 30 seconds, or 12:05 and 40 seconds, if you hung up before that, that's useless information."

The moment of impact, however, was captured by several celebrity photographers, who, according to NPR.org, posted the images on the Internet. Although the Kardashian patriarch wasn't hurt, several other people, three of whom are children, obtained minor injuries and were taken to the hospital after the impact.

Jenner, who remained unhurt, cooperated with the ongoing investigation and passed a field sobriety test. He also voluntarily submitted a blood test sample that will help determine whether or not he was intoxicated while driving on the road.

Brooks said about Jenner's situation, "He did not appear intoxicated or under the influence of anything at the time."

Vanity Fair also said that despite initial reports, there was no evidence of Jenner being photographed by paparazzi at the time of the accident, nor were they a contributing factor. As the magazine noted, Jenner's photos have been sought-after by media outlets and tabloids lately, as speculation about his transition to become female has become rampant online.
