New kids are on the block for Glee's final season, and at least five characters are to be added to the ensemble - all of them McKinley High Sophomores.

According to TV Line, series co-creator Ryan Murphy said that the show is going to shift back to "its original conceit" for the final season. He shared to the website, "We're working on the last season now, and it really feels like it's getting back to its roots, which I love. I'm sort of reinvigorated about it. It's getting back to what I was initially interested in with the show, which was arts in school. The last season is really about the importance of arts education in our high schools... I think people will like it."

It also seems like most of the season will be set in Ohio, when producer Brad Falchuck said that a lot will be going on in Lima.

Glee will be returning for its final 13 episodes beginning January 9, and with the air date so close, the list of newbies are finally out, and they are the following, as listed by Hollywood Life:

Noah Guthrie as Roderick, a chubby and shy guy with the voice of Otis Redding, will be the new underdog. Guthrie's claim to fame: a YouTube sensation and a performer for the latest season of "Dancing With The Stars."

Marshall Williams as Spencer, the football stud who PopWrapped reported as the one Murphy cast "to show the world the current changing attitude in High Schools, from gay being perceived as a bad thing, to something more positive, and accepted. Spencer's a man's man, and doesn't take shit from anybody." Williams is a competitor in Canadian Idol in 2007 and 2008, and has already previously starred in a Disney movie as a football-playing robot.

Billy Lewis Jr and Laura Dreyfuss as Mason and Madison - a pair of Cheerio twins who are extremely weird and full of positive energy. While "Glee" is Lewis' TV debut, his iTunes hits and 2014 EP gave him a shot for the role. Dreyfuss, on the other hand, is a Broadway artist and has been in productions of "Hair" and "Once."

Finally, Samantha Ware plays another Cheerio and was described as an "ambitious, unconventionally pretty gal." TV Line also described her as funny because of her utter lack of sense of humor, and that she originally wanted to be a Warbler, but because they are all boys, she decided to jump ship to join the New Directions instead. Ware is also a Broadway artist. She has played the role of Nala in "The Lion King" Broadway; she had a role on "The Book of Mormon" as well.

What do you think of the new quintet?
