Korea Republic and Russia will face off in an international friendly on Tuesday.

Both sides have already qualified for the World Cup and are in the midst of preparing for the run next summer.

Russia was the winner of Group F in the UEFA qualifiers with a record of seven wins, one draw and two losses; the team scored 20 goals and only allowed five in that span. Russia defeated Northern Ireland 2-0 in its opener before dispatching Israel 4-0 on the road. The team then defeated Portugal 1-0 and beat down Azerbaijan 1-0. Russia then lost 1-0 against Portugal on the road before being stunned 1-0 by Northern Ireland. The team bounced back with a 4-1 win over Luxembourg and a 3-1 victory over Israel. A 4-0 win over Luxembourg and a 1-1 draw with Azerbaijan capped the team's tournament. Aleksandr Kerzhakov led the team in scoring with five goals. Russia is coming off a 1-1 draw with Serbia in a friendly this past weekend.

Korea finished in second place in Group A of the AFC qualifiers with 14 points in eight games; the team won four, drew twice and lost two games. Korea defeated Qatar 4-1 in its opening game and took down Lebanon 3-0 in the follow-up. A 2-2 draw with Uzbekistan followed and the team subsequently lost 1-0 against Iran. Fortunately, Korea defeated Qatar 2-1 in its following match before tying Lebanon 1-1 on the road. The team concluded its campaign with a 1-0 win over Uzbekistan and a 1-0 loss against Iran. Korea recently stunned Switzerland 2-1 in a friendly match.
