"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" star Ben Affleck will be appearing as Bruce Wayne/ Batman in "Justice League Part One" due out in 2017.

Even before his debut as Batman in the silver screen, Affleck has been enlisted to reprise his role in the second film, reported Us Magazine.

According to Warner Bros., "at least 10 movies-as well as stand-alone Batman and Superman films-from 2016 through 2020" will be released to expand the Studio's DC Entertainment-branded content. The films will include the following:

  • "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," directed by Zack Snyder (2016)
  • "Suicide Squad," directed by David Ayer (2016)
  • "Wonder Woman," starring Gal Gadot (2017)
  • "Justice League Part One," directed by Zack Snyder, with Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Amy Adams reprising their roles (2017)
  • "The Flash," starring Ezra Miller (2018)
  • "Aquaman," starring Jason Momoa (2018)
  • "Shazam" (2019)
  • "Justice League Part Two," directed by Zack Snyder (2019)
  • "Cyborg," starring Ray Fisher (2020)
  • "Green Lantern" (2020)

The 42-year-old has met a lot of criticism and fan outcry when it was announced he would be taking on the role of the Caped Crusader.

"To me, having been through a certain amount of that, it doesn't really... Everyone's entitled to their opinion. I wouldn't have taken the part if I didn't trust my instincts in terms of the filmmaking," explained Affleck to Entertainment Weekly of his thoughts on the comments regarding his casting.

He added: "I think Chris Terrio wrote a terrific script. Zack's a great visual director. And there's an interesting take. I wouldn't have done it if I didn't think I could do it. I have the benefit of a lot of that understanding. But also, everyone is entitled to their opinion. That's a big part of this international sport. The Fifty Shades of Grey kid or whatever it is. That's sort of become a thing."

The "Gone Girl" actor also shared that he's been working hard to fit the requirements of the role.

" I can tell you that every time I do a role, it's the responsibility of an actor to get their physical self as close to the role as possible. And Batman's obviously got a set of expectations that are tough. So I spent a lot of time working out," said the actor.

Affleck will be joined by costars Amy Adams (Lois Lane) and Henry Cavill (Clark Kent/ Superman) in both "Dawn of Justice" and"Justice League Part One."
