On October 11, a couple of NASCAR racers had a brawl after their race at the NASCAR Bank of America 500 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

USA Today recalled the incident that transpired. Matt Kenseth and Brad Keselowski had some issues while racing for the lead during a restart with 63 laps left. Keselowski believed that Kenseth pushed him and failed to leave a lane up high going to the wall for Kenseth, who attempted to pass the former. As a result, Kenseth was forced into the wall and bounced off into Keselowski. Both cars were damaged during the incident.

Later on with six laps remaining, Kenseth suffered one lap down after the damage. He was given a free pass but as he moved around, he went across the nose of Keselowski's car, damaging the front end. A restart followed with two laps remaining, where Keselowski and Denny Hamlin also had a heated experience. Keselowski plowed into Hamlin into Turn 1, causing Hamlin to fall to the 11th spot. Keselowski went to 16th place because of his damaged car. When the race ended, Hamlin hit his brakes hard to show that he was frustrated with Keselowski. The latter tried to spin Hamlin afterwards.

The race was already over but Keselowski proceeded to chase Kenseth after moving into pit road. As Kenseth was removing his safety belts, Keselowski sideswiped Kenseth then accidentally hit the rear bumper of Tony Stewart. Stewart responded by driving his car in reverse and ramming into Keselowski's vehicle, damaging the front end.

A video on Deadspin.com showed the pent-up frustrations of both drivers erupt with the usually quiet Kenseth ambushing Keselowski right after the race. On the video, Keselowski was walking between two transporters of Team Penske when Kenseth suddenly emerged from behind, putting Keselowski in a headlock. Race personnel rushed towards both drivers to separate them.

According to KSDK.com, Kenseth commented after their short brawl, "(Keselowski) was doing something with Denny. The race had ended, and he's running into cars on the cool-down lap. I mean, the race is over, and he comes down pit road and drives into the side of me. That's inexcusable. He's a champion, and he's supposed to know better."

Keselowski said, "Those guys can dish it out, but they can't take it. I gave it back to them and now they want to fight, so I don't know what's up with that."

Meanwhile Hamlin seemed to have predicted Keselowski's possible actions in the next race in Talladega, "He'll just be out of control like normal. We'll do what we have to do to get in, and that's the big picture."
