Sarah Goldberg Dead: Actress Dies in Sleep

"7th Heaven" actress Sarah Goldberg, 40, has passed away at her family's abode in Wisconsin.

According to Chicago Sun-Times, her family reported that the Chicago-born star died on Sept. 27 out of "natural causes." An autopsy was done to determine the cause of her death, but nothing out of the ordinary was found. Sarah's mother, Judy Goldberg, expressed that a heart ailment is suspected.

Judy said, "She went to sleep and didn't wake up." Sarah was reportedly died peacefully with her computer in lap.

The outlet noted Sarah's showbiz beginnings in the Julia Roberts and Dermot Mulroney flick "My Best Friend's Wedding," where she helped arrange tablecloths and napkins. From there, her career flourished, allowing her to land spots on "7th Heaven," "House," "Judging Amy" and the dinosaur adventure movie "Jurassic Park III."

Washington Post listed her appearances in television series such as "90210," "The Beast" and "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation."

Sarah is more popularly known for her appearance in "7th Heaven," where she played Sarah Glass Camden. The character is a Jewish medical student whose love interest is the son of a Christian pastor. In the series, she is the daughter of comedian Richard Lewis, a rabbi.

Sarah is also credited under the stage name Sarah Danielle Madison, said FOX News.

The actress studied at the Latin School of Chicago. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Biology at Amherst College. She was then planning to pursue medical studies-until acting came to her. Judy remembered, "She wanted to go to medical school, and instead for three years she played a doctor on '7th Heaven.'"

In addition, Sarah is a fitness buff who loved skiing and yoga, as reported by People. She lived in Santa Monica, California.

At the time of her death, she was with her family to celebrate Jewish Holy Days. Fans in Twitter expressed their sorrow.

One wrote, "I'm so sad. There goes my dreams of a Matt and Sarah reunion in a 7th Heaven reunion movie."

"Sad to hear of the early death of Sarah Goldberg, my heart goes out to her family," another tweeted.

"7th Heaven" husband Barry Wilson wrote, "#RIP Sarah. I will miss you always. Love Ya! B."

Meanwhile, fellow "7th Heaven" actor Stephen Collins is also making news. We have previously reported that the actor is alive amid rumors, as confirmed by the Los Angeles Police Department.

He was suspected to have committed suicide after his underage exploits surfaced. TMZ reported that he admitted to child molestation, as evidenced in an audio recording.
