Microsoft UK's Xbox division has taken advertising to a whole new level,

The game still had its presence felt--albeit through a new "Destiny" fragrance promoted on Twitter. The source added that viewers were led to the website DestinyFragrance.com,' where they were told about the story of the "new fragrance by Xbox."

Following through the web site would lead you to the real deal. "Okay, so here's the lowdown. 'Destiny' is actually an epic new first-person shooter, available on Xbox. Thing is, we didn't have permission to run adverts for the game...Se we didn't...Thanks for smelling that something was up. Now get the game and become a legend. Order Now," reads the ad.

Activision has seemingly reacted on Microsoft's supposedly funny take on the publisher's exclusive agreement with Sony, reported Cinema Blend. The ad now reads, "Hi. There are some great Xbox One offers available at the moment. Please check with retailers for more information."  

"Destiny" tells the story of the Traveler who brought about a great Golden Age in Venus, Mars, and our own planet. This was a period of bounty, until an enemy of the Traveler came to destroy what had been made. As everybody suffered, Humans, Exos, and Awoken found the Traveler. A City was built for protection. And from that dark age, the Guardians were born.

The summative teaser closes, "Now, a new era has begun, and the only hope for our future lies in unlocking the greatest mysteries of our past". 

The game is now available for pre-order on the Xbox One and Xbox 360. Those who pre-order will receive a special Vanguard Player Emblem and early access to the Vanguard Armory weapons and gear as incentive.

"Destiny" is available in two editions: "Destiny Limited Edition," which includes Limited Edition SteelBook^TM case and game disc, Guardian folio, Arms and Armament field guide, Postcards from the Golden Age, Antique star chart, Destiny Expansion Pass, and Collector's Edition digital content and "Destiny Ghost Edition," which includes everything from the Limited Edition plus Ghost replica and Golden Age relics.
