Deals and discounts on previous models of MacBooks may be hinting the upcoming release date of this year's MacBook Pro 2013.

Buyers can save as much as $200 when they buy MacBooks in electronics retailer Best Buy. The shop also offers free shipping.

Last week, online retail giant Amazon offered a Quick Laptop Sale that slashed up to $250 off the original price of Apple laptops.

Moreover, Apple Store is still offering refurbished MacBooks that are way cheaper. Buyers can get 13.3-inch, 2.5GHz MacBook Pro with 4GB of RAM and a 500GB hard drive for only $999, which is also $200 less than its original price.

These new deals and discounts on the old models of MacBooks could be hinting the release date of the new MacBook rumoured to happen this month. This is also a way of retailers in clearing the inventory of the device and to maximize the profits.

There are other statements to believe why the MacBook pro 2013 release date is nearing. According to a report by 9to5Mac, Apple commenced the training on its AppleCare support staff for the upcoming OS X Mavericks release date. The support staff will be trained to learn the new Mac's operating system including its new features, installation process, and troubleshooting options for at least six hours over the course of the next few weeks.

Some of the new features for the latest OS X Mavericks include a new Maps app, a tabbed finder, iBooks, new look to the calendar, improved Safari, iCloud Keychain, multiple displays and more.

Aside from the OS X Mavericks, MacBook Pro 2013 is rumored to pack Intel's new Haswell processor, possess faster wifi and storage options as well as have a longer battery life. Other reports claim that the laptop will include Thunderbolt 2 GPU and a better screen resolution.

MacBook Pro 2013 release date is expected to happen on the 15th of October in an Apple event. The said event will allegedly show off the company's tablets - iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2. The MacBook Pro and official Mac OS will also make an appearance on the said event.
