Midfielder Toni Kroos is the latest addition to Real Madrid's roster of players as the former Bayern Munich star signed a six-year deal with the club.

Days after winning the World Cup in Brazil, the 24-year-old player agreed to a €25 million ($36m) transfer to Real Madrid, Fox Sports reports. The same report notes that Kroos was very instrumental to Germany's World Cup victory since he contributed two goals in two minutes during the semifinal round against Brazil.

In a statement, Real reportedly said that Kroos is a "a playmaker capable of finding the best option in any situation, with a vision of the game enabling him to help his teammates, as well as an impressive kick," reports Fox Sports.

Bayern chair Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, according to BBC, thanked Kroos for his time in Munich. "We enjoyed great success here together. We would like to wish him and his family all the best in Madrid and with Real," he reportedly.

In a report by The Guardian, Kroos said that he is the "right man" for the team since he is "used to winning."

"I know this is the correct decision and I'm very proud to have made it. I cannot think of anything more wonderful than being here. This is the biggest club in the world. In 2013 I won the Champions League and in 2014 Real won it, and I hope we can win it again next year. I hope to be able to return the confidence this club has shown in me," The Guardian quotes him as saying.

Kroos also said that he loves pressure and that he is in the game to win trophies.

Kroos joined Bayern in 2007 at an early age of 17, Fox Sports reports. It was also noted in the same report that he became a regular on the team after 18 months.

In his profile at BBC, it was indicated that he made 173 Bundesliga appearances and won three titles for those appearances. The same report adds that he claimed the previous season of Uefa Super Cup and Fifa Club World Cup.

His transfer to Real, according to Fox Sports, is the second high-profile move in the La Liga this month since Luis Suarez's transfer from Manchester to Barcelona. It adds that Monaco's James Rodriguez could also join Kroos at Real in the coming days.
