It looks like Directioners just can't seem to get enough of the 1D boys.

According to Mail Online, 47 One Direction fans were injured after the audience's "frantic surge to the stage." Hundreds of Directioners were reportedly crushed while some needed medical treatment.

"Of those fans who were hurt, it's not clear just how serious the injuries were, but local reports suggest several people are still being treated for symptoms of asphyxia - abnormal breathing as a result of a severely deficient supply of oxygen entering the body," reports Mail Online.

Digital Spy reports that the head of Peru's volunteer fire service confirms the same. "We treated 47 children with the first stages of asphyxia. Everything is under control. We have nothing to be ashamed of, we've handled the situation well," Mario Cassareto reportedly said on radio.

"We put in place a second evacuation plan so that the younger fans were not affected. We're working with the police and the security companies [who were contracted for the show], 911 and VIP," Cassareto added.

Before the incident, 1D member Niall Horan allegedly told the crowd to keep a distance. "If you don't want anyone to take us off the stage, make sure you stay back," Hollywood Life quotes Niall. The entertainment news website also adds that Liam Payne has also addressed the crowd right after Niall, bargaining with the crowd, "or we'll have to go - and we don't want to go."

Obviously, the warning was not enough for Directioners who reportedly went for One Direction inside the Estadio Nacional stadium.

The Peru stop was the band's second show in Latin America, following their stop at Estadio El Campin in Bogota, Colombia. The boys will head to 5 more countries after the Paraguay stop has been cancelled. One Direction will be in Ireland for 3 consecutive dates next, from May 23 to 25.
