Manchester United FC manager David Moyes is expected to make a push to acquire Toni Kroos this summer, but the embattled manager will likely fail in his bid to convince the FC Bayern Munich midfielder to make a move to Old Trafford.

Kroos' agent, Volker Struth, confirmed reports that several teams have been inquiring about his player's status, but he insisted that no transfer move is in sight, saying that the Germany international will stay with Bayern Munich, at least until after next season.

"We are confronted with a variety of rumors for months but at the moment I believe that Toni plays in Bavaria until 2015 at least," Struth told Bild, via ESPN FC.

Kroos' contract with Bayern Munich will run out in 2015, and previous reports indicated that the club had no plans to offer a contract extension at this point.

The reported stand-off between Kroos and Bayern Munich gave interested teams hope of acquiring the 24-year-old midfielder, but manager Pep Guardiola insisted that Kroos will be part of the team next season, and hopefully for the next several years.

"Toni has one year more of a contract and Toni will remain there. I hope he can extend his contract and stay with us," Guardiola said.

Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge echoed Guardiola's statement, reiterating that they will look to secure a long-term deal with Kroos after his current contract expires.

Kroos has two goals and four assists for Bayern Munich in the current German Bundesliga season.

Meanwhile, Manchester United could also lose one of their key players as reports indicated that Nani is planning to make a move to Italy's Serie A next season.

Nani recently signed a five-year deal believed to be in the £130,000 a week range ($217,932 USD) playing for the English Premier League (EPL), but has only made five starts this season for the Red Devils as he was slowed down by a hamstring injury.

Nani's Italian agent Andrea Pastorello told Viola News that the Portugal international midfielder is considering moving to ACF Fiorentina.

Pastorello admitted that Italian Series A teams will struggle to afford Nani's salary, but he is confident that Fiorentina can work things out with Manchester United.

"The problem for Fiorentina and other Italian clubs is the player's salary. But we will evaluate all bids," Pastorello said, via ESPN FC. "Our relationship with United is great. Fiorentina have to speak with Manchester United about Anderson and maybe there will be an opportunity to talk about Nani, too."
