British author E.L. James went back to the drawing board last week, possibly to write another edition of the best-selling "Fifty Shades of Grey" trilogy.

James, who soared to notoriety after publishing the erotic book series, announced earlier this month that she is writing once again in a photo that she shared on Instagram. The photo shows her computer screen with an opened word document and a page filled with words, with the caption "It's been a while...."

James has already written three books in the Fifty Shades saga--"Fifty Shades of Grey," "Fifty Shades Darker" and "Fifty Shades Freed"--but of course, fans want more.

"Christian's point of view would make the world and my life a much better place," one Instagram user named mayreslimerseverino wrote.

In February, Vintage Books announced that the erotica series had sold over 100 million copies worldwide, joining the ranks of other popular book series that have topped the 100 million mark like "Harry Potter" and "Twilight."

The Vintage Books publishing company acquired the series back in March 2012 and published all three books within weeks. The trilogy has also been listed as a New York Times best-seller for 100 weeks, reports the New York Times.

The highly-anticipated movie adaption of "Fifty Shades of Grey," starring Jamie Doran as Christian Grey and Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele, is set to be released on Feb. 13, 2015.

However, by the time the film arrives, fans hungering for James' trademark explicit eroticism may be left wanting. The film's producer, Michael De Luca, announced that the movie won't be as raunchy as the novel. "Obviously the film can't be as explicit as the book. A picture is worth a 1000 words. So to be erotic onscreen means I think an image is going to have way more power than reading the words on a page," he said.
