We know you don't need another reason to be attached to your cell phones, but these 10 games are worth checking out. We've rounded up five of the best free games and five of the best paid games currently available through the App store.

Paid:

1. Minecraft - Pocket Edition, $6.99

Minecraft was a PC game made by Swedish programmer Markus "Knotch" Persson, where users can build their own world. It was adapted for mobile, and some aspects of the mobile version differ from the original in order to make it unique. This is one of the most addictive gaming experiences available.

2. Sherlock: The Network, $4.99

Fans of the show will appreciate this app. It's not just a game but also an interactive story that will allow you to explore London while helping Sherlock solve 10 cases. "The app offers puzzles with just enough difficulty to challenge the player while not expecting us to perform at the same level as a certain consulting detective," wrote one game reviewer. Other reviewers praised it for helping to fill the void created after the third season ended.

3. Castle Doombad, $2.99

This Adult Swim game is a little reminiscent of Plants vs. Zombies because you have to defend your castle, but it still feels enough like its own game, especially because you are the villain. One reviewer said, "Finally, a TD game I can obsess over again. It's an original take on the genre. Enemies go up or down stairs to try and capture your hostage, the princess."

4. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, $6.99

If you're looking for a meatier game, then try Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. The game was originally released in 2004 and was released on iOS on December 2013. Relive one of the most popular games on your phone.

5. Tetris, $0.99

Tetris has existed on almost every single platform. This classic game continues to be popular with good reason. One user said, "I wondered how they could make this work on a touch device. So it took me a long time to actually download it. It turns out it's just as addicting as the original."

Free:

1. Shifter: Interactive Graphic Novel

This interactive graphic novel is also a sci-fi murder mystery, so if you love comic books and sci-fi, you are in for a treat. The game is free, but it only comes with one chapter. The rest are in-app purchases. But people who have bought the game said that the art style and story is amazing.

2. Glyph Quest

This action and puzzle game has monsters and a bit of magic. It's a very simple game that offers a lot of fun. One user said, "It's sort of insane how much fun i've been having with just a simple concept..."

3. Giant Boulder of Death

Destroy cities. That's your mission when you play this game, and you star as the boulder. One reviewer said, "You're a giant boulder. You roll down a mountain and wreck stuff. Why are you still reading this?"

4. Plants vs. Zombies 2

This game is highly addicting, and it's a bit funny. The zombies sometimes leave you notes, and it gets harder as you go on.

5. Color Zen

If visuals are the most important part in a game to you, then this one will make you happy. The point of the game is to drag colors together, and though it starts off simply, it will get more complicated. It's designed to help you relax "and find your way through an abstract world of colors and shapes," according to the game's description.
