Titanfall is currently in the beta portion of development, but that has not stopped thousands from trying out the Microsoft exclusive game. For anyone looking for a leg up on the competition, here are some quick tips for the online multiplayer mech warrior game.

One of the most basic tips available to new users is to simply keep moving. Titanfall may be overwhelming due to the large amounts of players and Titans running around the map, but rather than sitting around and trying to camp somewhere the best choice is to keep moving. In particular, pilots should always be on the move as they are the only ones that can access the roofs of buildings and other higher up vantage points. Wall running is also faster than running on the ground, so using this technique is a good strategy for staying mobile.

While users who have climbed up on top of buildings can avoid standing still on the ground, it also gives them several advantages in combat. Players can surprise users on the ground and are harder to hit by both pilots and Titans. In addition, pilots can jump off the building and land on Titans to take them out as well or surprise pilots in choke points on the map.

When actually fighting enemies, players should always remember to use melee attacks when up close. Melee attacks in Titanfall are fairly often one hit kills, so users should always try to land one when fighting pilots. When on the attack users should aim for A.I. opponents first and humans second due to their relative predictability in combat. In addition, mowing down several A.I. opponents will make the cool down timer for the Titan decrease faster. This will help the player and the team by getting a Titan on the field earlier. Once users can call in their Titan, they can try to time calling the Titan so it falls on to enemies to cause some splash damage that could clear out areas of heavy fighting quickly.

Using these basic strategies, Titanfall beta users will be able to quickly rise in the ranks of the game and make sure that once the game is officially launched the matches will be fierce and full of jaw dropping moments that Microsoft was hoping the game would have. Titanfall will officially launch on March 11 on the Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC.
