The Philadelphia 76ers are expected to become very aggressive on the trade front in the coming weeks as reports suggested on Monday that they are now actively shopping Evan Turner.

According to Sporting News, the Sixers have been ramping up discussions with several teams about a possible trade before the Feb. 20 deadline, and Turner has been at the center of most trade talks.

Sources said that the Sixers are asking for draft picks in any trade involving the 25-year-old small forward. A first-round pick in the 2014 draft is on top of their wish list, but they are also willing to settle for a 2015 first-round pick if that is their best option before the deadline.

However, sources added that teams are shying away from negotiating for a potential trade for Turner, particularly teams who will have cap space next summer to sign him outright.

Teams who are looking to make a deep playoff run this season are expected to take a gamble on Turner, who could become an unrestricted free agent this summer.

The Oklahoma City Thunder, who could offer the Dallas Mavericks' 2014 first round pick if it falls below the top 20, previously expressed interest in acquiring the fourth-year forward. The Phoenix Suns, who could have four first round picks in this year's draft, could also be in the mix.

As the trade deadline approaches, more teams are expected to express their interest in trading for the former Ohio State standout, who is having a breakout season this year.

When asked about the trade rumors surrounding him, Turner, who is averaging 18.1 points and 6.0 rebounds per game this season, said that he is not paying attention to things that are out of his control.

"I don't pay attention to it anymore," Turner said of the trade rumors. "I just keep trying to get better, keep trying to play. I know I can play basketball. At the end of the day, you have to see who takes it, who is running with that, who is writing what they're writing."
