Facebook has announced that it is rolling out the new features for its Messenger app, designed to help users this holiday season. The social networking company has made its Photo Magic face recognition tool available worldwide, to help ensure that the right photos are sent to the right people.

The feature, which was until recently only available in Australia, scans yous camera roll to recommend photos to send to your friends. This release is timed well, as Venture Beat noted that people are more likely to take more photos with their family and friends over the holidays. Photo Magic is expected to streamline the process and help share moments through the Messenger app.

It works by Facebook recognizing friends in photos, similar to tagging. Messenger then allows for you to create a group thread to share photos with friends in just a few taps. Of course, using Photo Magic is totally up to the user.

To enable Photo Magic, go to your "Settings" menu in Messenger to enable the feature. Once this is enabled, a prompt will remind you to send photos of your friends once you take them, although the photo will not be sent unless you authorize it to.

That is not the only update from Facebook for the holidays, either. The company is also looking for ways to make conversations more customizable. Facebook exec Stan Chudnovsky said in a post, "Now you can personalize your experience, including setting nicknames, choosing colors for your conversations, and more."

Android app users are also expected to get a special treat, as Facebook has brought back snow globe effects for chat heads, which will make friend avatars appear as winter wonderlands. Of course, come New Year, these winter wonderlands will become confetti-filled chat heads.

The winter wonderland concept also extends holiday feels to the stickers, with a new "Frozen" sticker pack for holiday emoticons. Of course, if it's too Disney for you, there is also a "Star Wars" pack that went live last week.

These announcements from Facebook came just after the company announced that the company has intergrated the on-demand car service Uber, into the Messenger service in the form of Transportation Messenger. The feature is said to allow users to request a ride from a car service without needing to download an extra app or leave a conversation.

What do you think of these latest Messenger updates -- are they giving you enough holiday feels?
