Tea parties, extravagant meetings - sure, you'd expect these things to be part of peace processes and treaties, but have you ever heard of members from opposing sides posing together for naked photos to promote peace?

Fox News reported that the very thing happened in Colombia, whose government is currently in the middle of a peace negotiation process with their country's biggest rebel group, the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC).

The peace talks between the government and the rebel group have been ongoing for three years, and now, with major breakthroughs on the way, a former Colombian officer and a former guerilla decided to give peace a chance by modeling nude for a magazine.

Isabel Londono, a former member of Colombia's former National Intelligence Agency (DAS), graced the cover of men's magazine Soho, donning only a skimpy black bra and panties. Snuggling against her, fully nude, is Ana Pacheco, an ex-FARC guerilla.

Diego Garzon, director of Soho, shared, "We have never gotten into political issues, that's not the tint of the magazine, but somehow we wanted to be part of the feeling of reconciliation that is prevalent in the country with all this peace."

Pacheco said of her decision to do the shoot, "It's been very important to pose for these Soho photos, because we're at peace, and what could be more beautiful that it's two women from the opposing sides who are posing."

The cover comes just at the heels of another standstill, where the leader of the FARC accused the government for slowing down the peace process. Rodrigo Londono Echeverri, known by the group as Timochenko said, "Today, it concerns us that on the part of the government a certain proposal is prospering to slow down, to complicate progress on the agreements. The slow rhythm imposed at the (negotiating) table and (in the) subcommittees provides much to think about."

He also insisted that "postponements, pretexts, and apologies" have become frequent tactics to ensure that the talks between the FARC and the government will proceed slowly. However, he insisted that the negotiation table "is and must continue being the ideal space to discuss and arrive at agreements," to ensure that "neither of the parties has the right to conceive of it as a mechanism for subduing the other."

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry has recently congratulated Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos and his negotiating team regarding the peace talks, saying that "peace is now ever closer for the Colombian people and millions of conflict victims."

But while the negotiations are ongoing, do you think the naked photo shoot from opposing teams printed in a men's magazine are making a difference for the citizens of Colombia?
