This year's Paris Games Week showcased "WiLD," the exclusive open world survival game for PlayStation 4.

The game, which is from Wild Sheep Studio, follows the story of an ancient shaman who has a deep connection to Mother Nature. The bond is so powerful that the character has the ability to possess animals or summon wild beats to do his bidding, Tech Times wrote. In addition, the protagonist can seek help from gods and goddesses, who may or may not assist him.

At the PGW event, creator Michel Ancel and his colleague demonstrated the game and took control of a baby wild boar and a huge brown bear, IGN reported.

"Every animal has its own specific movements but most will have a stealth mode, too," Ancel said in the press conference, as quoted by IGN.

When asked how many animals in the game can be taken control of, Ancel told the news outlet that they are "not sure yet but one cool thing is that if you take control of a pack's Alpha, you can then command the entire pack to help you."

He continued, "Some people like to explore in games and continually find new areas, others may like to just stay in one place... it's up to you to make your own stories."

Gamers start taking control of their shaman when he was just a child, IGN added. Players can also choose the character's sex and customize its appearance before kicking off the journey. The shaman's tattoos displayed in the demo indicate his adventures and represents his life's stories.

To make sure that the players' experiences divert from each other, Ancel said that every story will be different and that users will find themselves beginning their paths in a completely different part of the world to others, the news outlet noted.

As for multiplayer options, Ancel revealed that "players can enter your world and help you or choose to take you on" just like in From Software's "Bloodborne," IGN wrote. There are goals in the game, but it will be open and will differ from other players' objectives.

The producers said that there is no definite launch date for "WiLD" yet, and that the game will be available on PlayStation 4 only, Tech Times reported.

"We're releasing Wild exclusively on Playstation which has a unique 'Share' button on every gamepad. What is the point of having that if people are going to share the same thing? You want to give players something unique that they'll want to 'Share' with their friends and that's what we're trying to do with Wild," Ancel said, as quoted by IGN.
