Donald Trump has been a controversial figure especially after he announced his decision to run for the oval office. However, at this point the Republican debates have begun and he has amassed more supporters that initially thought.

But then, there are the undecided voters that he has to woo to get the nomination from his party, and in the most recent public rally via the Today Show, he had to do just that, but not before pointing out his disappointment in the media for recent polls that showed him trailing Ben Carson in Iowa. He pointed out, "I've been number one almost from the beginning. From the day I filed."

However, in the Today show, moderated by NBC's Matt Lauer, Trump found himself answering questions from 125 people who are yet to pass judgment on the businessman, with Trump answering an hour's worth of questions that included a wide variety of topics that included his stance on foreign policy, guns, and even his record with women.

The most memorable question came when someone asked about whether or not people have ever told him "no".

Trump answered the question, as noted by NBC News, by talking about his upbringing, pointing out the beginnings of his real estate career with a "small loan" of $1 million from his father.

Although the person who asked the question thought that Trump gave a "very good answer", she noted that she's still undecided in choosing between Trump and Carson. The woman, Jill Casey of Hampstead, New Hampshire said, "If you could kind of mush together Carson and Trump to kind of temper him down a little bit and kind of beef up Carson a little bit to get him a little bit more assertive, that would make a great team."

Donna Morris who rune the Greater Salem Chamber of Commerce was also satisfied with Trump's question regarding the situation with ISIS. She said about the businessman, "I personally grew up as a military child and have always been concerned with our national defense and our place on the world. I was pleased with his answers. There is a lot of very terrible stuff over there and we need to make sure that our country remains strong."

However, not everyone was persuaded by Trump. Brad Maxwell of Kingston noted, about Trumps's rally, "Donald just spent half of his speech talking about how good he was doing in the polls and he didn't offer anything of substance."

What do you think of Trump's performance so far in the race?
