World-renowned filmmaker Steven Spielberg just dropped the bomb after he revealed his enthusiasm at making another "Indiana Jones" movie with Harrison Ford still playing the lead.

In an interview with Yahoo Movies, Spielberg revealed how "keen" he is at making yet another "Indiana Jones" movie with the award-winning actor still playing the title role

During the interview about his new flick "Bridge of Spies," the 68-year-old American director and producer placed Ford and Tom Hanks in a competition for "actor who's made the most Spielberg movies."

"We've gotta figure this out because now, Tom is tied with Harrison Ford: Harrison and I did four movies, Tom and I have done four movies," he explained, continuing to a revelation that nobody expected.

"Now I'll probably do an Indy 5 with Harrison, [so] it'll be five for Harrison, four for Tom," he added.

He further pursued this analysis of the two actors, seemingly oblivious to the fact that he just revealed something big by saying: "I've got to make another one with Tom, that'll be five for Tom, five for Harrison. And I think I'm going to leapfrog that way for the rest of my career. With Daniel Day-Lewis in everything else!"

Based on Cinema Blend's count, Ford starred in all four "Indy" flicks while Hanks is currently promoting the Cold War spy drama "Bridge of Spies," his fourth film with the director following "Saving Private Ryan," "Catch Me If You Can" and "The Terminal."

While this is far from any confirmation, We Got This Covered noted that this "joke" had just splashed cold water on the rumored "Indiana Jones" reboot starring Chris Pratt.

For those who missed it, there had been rumors floating back in June about Pratt starring as the swash-buckling crusader after he made "Jurassic World" such a huge hit.

Either way, we already know that an "Indiana Jones 5" is underway after producer Kathleen Kennedy and Disney confirmed a fifth sequel to Vanity Fair back in May.

Furthermore, We Got This Covered got word that such sequel is not slated for release until 2018, giving the "Indiana Jones" director more time to choose an actor for the flick and arrange his schedule to fit the filming of the movie.

Following the conclusion of his Tom Hanks-starrer "Bridge of Spies," Spielberg would be delving into the world of "The BFG" created by Roald Dahl.

After that, he would be helming the movie adaptation of the dystopian novel "Ready Player One" penned by Ernest Cline.
